There was a silence after Fenwe had let her telepathy reach out to whomever or whatever was there. For a moment, she had debated that maybe she was going crazy and that nothing was actually there…but then it happened. Ears swiveled as she heard a voice. ‘Can you hear me?’ The voice sounded as if it was everywhere. Whomever this was, were they also able to use telepathy? No…this was actually a physical voice, but yet it seemed to hold no true origin. Fenwe was most intrigued by the odd phenomenon. Yet…if there was one thing that she was able to distinguish from the voice it was that it sounded younger. A child perhaps? Or someone cursed with the voice of a child? Whatever the case may be, Fenwe decided a change in approach might have been warranted. “Yes,” She said telepathically in a calm tone as she shifted to sit, “I assure you I bear no ill will,” she tried again with a soft tone of voice. Fenwe had no idea where this other being was but she at least wanted to make sure she made it clear that she meant no harm. In fact, it was quite the opposite if it were indeed a child. |
Tall Trees
A redwood and sequoia forest of immense size. Enormous trees grow toward the sky with interlocking branches that become like roads up in the air. Like the trees, the creatures here are of unnatural, giant size and mysterious voices seem to echo through the trees.
