With her eyes closed to the world around her, Fenwe was taking in and enjoying the sounds of the forest that made her feel akin to an ant. The soft pitter-patter of the rain hitting the leaves of the trees and the chorus of bird songs were especially soothing to her. She wasn’t sure where she was in the world at the moment, but alas, it didn’t matter to her all that much. That was until her peaceful sounds were suddenly disrupted by the panicked squeak of someone or something. The scent of blood also followed it. Fenwe’s eyes snapped open and her ears stood at alert as she tried to scan for the source. Had the ones that killed her entire pack found her and followed her all the way here? She wasn’t even aware of who it was that killed her pack since she had been hidden when they attacked, but the scent of blood always made her wary of what lurked within the shadows. For a brief moment, Fenwe’s eyes caught a glimpse of movement from the corner of her vision. She didn’t get a good look at who or whatever it was that was here. In fact, she wasn’t even entirely certain if there even was anybody there since she just barely saw the movement and the colors she thought she saw were similar to that of her own. Had she just seen her own tail? Was she just going crazy? The young she-wolf wasn’t too certain as to what she saw, but deep down she felt instinctively like there was something. After debating what to do, Fenwe reached out with her mind cautiously. Slowly she felt the radius of her telepathy extend outwards around her until eventually she reached her limit. Once it was set to the maximum she paused for a second, she wasn’t exactly sure if it would work since she had never tried to do this while blocking out others. It was her first time giving this a go at all. So in case her voice couldn’t be heard, she also tried to speak through body language as well. “Is someone there?,” her thoughtspeak called out into the silence while she lowered her head slightly and relaxed her ears to try and signal she meant no harm. However, in the case that there was someone who meant harm to her, Fenwe was still in a decent position to start running if need be. She wasn’t stupid after all and she sure as hell didn’t want to die. |
Tall Trees
A redwood and sequoia forest of immense size. Enormous trees grow toward the sky with interlocking branches that become like roads up in the air. Like the trees, the creatures here are of unnatural, giant size and mysterious voices seem to echo through the trees.
