Her gaze stared down Ixora with fear and ferocity. It clearly said to the other female that she would continue to fight if it meant living to breath another breath. Her lips curled as she warned Ixora away, stepping backwards as she approached with a chuck of meat between her jaws. An ear flicked over to the saber, listening for movement to indicate life. Her gaze, however, remained unwavering. She didn't even blink.
Ixora did not attack her. The chunk of meat was dropped before her. "I came to help" Enya's heart clenched as relief washed away the fear and anxiety that had been holding her previously. She stared at the chunk of flesh log enough to recognize it as a heart, then lifted her gaze back up to Ixora, the expression on her face now disbelief. She had seen her? How? When? The questions came to her, but she shoved them all aside. None of the answers mattered to her. Sure, it could be a ploy to drop her sense of caution, but something deep down inside her told her that such was not the case. She panted from her exhaustion through the fight, and now panted from the anxiety that had taken hold moments ago.
Ixora continued to explain why she was here, mentioned that she wouldn't let her be killed. There were so many more questions. Again, they were swallowed down and forgotten. When Ixora had asked about a healer or someone she could take her to, Enya let a smile come to her lips. Moments before she had been galavanting through the mountain range of her territory. A bounty hunter had found her, confronted her, and a fight had ensued. Like Tsillah's courier, Ixora had showed up and turned the tides of the fight. Now she was offering to help her, a wolf from her history that she'd thought she'd never see again. She smiled, and then she let a chuckle escape. Then her chuckle grew to soft laughter as she panted. "You are Tsillah's agent." she finally said, her body slumping down into a sit with her injured limb held out at an odd angle.
It was only for a moment, though, that she remained in her sit. With a grunt and a forward-rocking motion, Enya hauled herself back up into a stand, then limped forward towards Ixora, stepping over the heart in the process. She leaned forward to make an attempt to pull Ixora into an embrace. "I never thought I'd see my sister again" Her voice was unsteady as she spoke to the wolfess. "I don't know how you're here, but I'm so glad I get to see you again."
