Eon was more than happy to head towards the caves right away. It seemed Caedwyn already knew the way, and Eon eagerly followed behind him.
Eventually, they reached the entrance and headed inside. Eon was about to send out a wisp of light, but it seemed the monarch had beaten him to it. That should be all they needed for now, and once they were inside, most of their path would be illuminated by crystals anyway. He listened intently as Caedwyn spoke. "Yes, yes, it’s a bit further in down this way." The smaller canid began to take the lead, moving cautiously through the caverns as he tried to remember the exact route he had taken before.
Soon, the light from numerous crystals began to dot the caverns like stars in the night sky. It wasn’t much, but along with Caedwyn’s flame, it was enough to guide them. Eon couldn't help but slow his pace to gaze up at them before continuing forward. Eventually, the crystal lights grew sparser, and shadows enveloped the area. To provide additional light, Eon summoned a wisp that floated above his head, illuminating a bright yellow color. "It was somewhere around here," he replied, listening intently for the sound of the creeping creature. "I remember it being in a place dark like this; maybe it doesn’t like the lights."
