Dark Forest
The ground and trees here have taken on a dark hue and a permanent cloud-shadow looms over this area. A tall, thick forest grows and in its deepest reaches, no light can penetrate the thick foliage. Strange, dangerous creatures lurk in the darkness.

Zane's bold-face lie made Elcid roll her eyes at him and turn her attention back to the smoldering wood. "Mhmn, sure" She flicked her tail at him, emphasizing how little she believed him, while also trying her best to hide the smile and giggle that was bubbling inside her. It was when he declared that she made everything else go boom that she giggled aloud. "It's so fun!" she beamed as she turned back around, facing him with her tail wagging behind her in a gentle sway. "Do you remember when I made that watermelon explode? That thing went everywhere! You were covered in it"

The memory made another giggle escape her as she smiled with a wide grin. She leaned in and spoke softer to him with an equally as wide grin, like someone might hear her reveal her little secret, "Remember when I made that potato explode in Oracle's den-room?" Yes, that had also been her, having worked a contraption with her magic that made the potato explode right as Oracle entered her bed-chamber. She'd received plenty scolding afterwards. Oracle was no fool and it had been quite obvious who had left the gadget there. Even so, Elcid acted like it was a secret, for she had never admitted to being responsible for the prank. It was her devious little secret she'd kept between her and Zane.

Then he spoke music to her ears and said that they could return to harvest the smoldering wood. There was just one condition involved:  she had to make some for him too. "Pshh" she let out before approaching Zane and pushing her head against him with appreciation. "I'll manage to make it happen. Don't think I wont. And when I do? I'll make all of the pop rocks you want me to make for you. You've just gotta help me haul it back to work on it." She pulled back with a toothy grin on her face, then stepped back once more, "So, are we going to find our new home or what? Why did you stop our trek, anyways? Don't you want to get there already?" She grinned, then turned to quickly step away and through the burning woods, watching carefully where she stepped in case she might step in active charcoal or on a particularly vicious ant.
