Clearly he didn't want to talk about his parents. Balthazar left it alone as the Lion glances away. He didn't want to push the subject as that made unwanted foes at times.
So he listens as the Lion muses on the next subject, Balthazar nods as he speaks of what was needed."I'd be more than happy to help you find the things you seek as payment." the vampire insisted. The caw of a bird makes Balthazar look up, his eyes finding it to be watching from a near-by tree. "That crow seems to like you!" he chuckles in a friendly way. Birds did make for excellent company when trained, pip sure was. And in his experience crows were very smart and good at finding things. "You know crows can be very smart and great companions when trained, they are especially good at finding things." he purrs, thinking of the birds he had encountered before.
"I can sure help polish that gem too, just lead the way my friend." he muses, giving a paw to lead the way.
