ooc. If it's okay I'm going to take some liberties with things to move it along. Feel free to have Eon follow or if he needed to do anything before they go into the caves feel free.
Caedwyn's tail gave an excited wiggle at Eon's words when Eon indicated his own excitement at exploring. Caedwyn nodded along, his excitement growing. "No, no," he replied, at the mention of waiting until another day. Whether it was the best choice or not, Caedwyn's excitement at the situation had already gotten the better of him. "We should check it out now before the beast goes any deeper and disappears. Besides, it'll be dark in the cave no matter what time of day it is." Caedwyn stood and began to use his paw to shove the curious ornaments back into the bag. "Unless you need time to prepare?" He hadn't really considered Eon might have other duties to attend to right now, but surely this took priority, right? Having hurriedly placed things back into Eon's bag, Caedwyn waited for any last minute "If you're ready, we should head out that way now. I'll head on over and if there are any last minute preparations, you should do those now." With a firm nod, Caedwyn turned and headed off toward the caves. He would need Eon as a guide once they arrived but he knew the general area where the caves opened to the surface. At least this way Caedwyn could scout out the surrounding area if Eon had anything left he needed to attend to. -- at the caves -- The area seemed clear enough, and after some investigation there no sign of obvious beasts at the surface. But no doubt the giant centipede creature Eon had mentioned was deeper inside. Of course such a nasty creepy-crawly would be lurking around in the depths, waiting for some unsuspecting victim. Caedwyn's lips curled back in a pleased smirk. Yes. Of course. And he'd be right along after it to slay it. Perhaps in addition to the shining stones, they'd return with some trophies of their victory as well? The hour had grown quite late now, and even above the surface the sun had set. Taking a moment, Caedwyn concentrated on his will and soon enough a small ball of flame sparked to life next to him, hovering like a wax-less candle. "I can light our way if you remember where you saw the creature before. " --- Speech. |
