something wasn't right. the leaders of verdantis were dropping like flies, it seemed, and anger stirred within the wolf. who dare to challenge verdantis' peace? who, or what, was the cause for the weakening in their ranks? did mercedes and quinnat fall to some unforeseen force, some hidden threat that they could not see? or was the pressure of leadership too much to bare? the wind stirred his curly fur, and he looked out over the territories of verdantis from his perch at the high point of the valley. here the spatial anomaly had a weaker hold, but seemed to defiantly cling onto its control over gravity by keeping everything in this stretch of the valley consistently lighter. it made descending and ascending the sloped hillside easier, which allowed him to make a quicker trek to look out over cloud bend and much of the surrounding land. just like the anomaly, gabriel remained defiant too. it had not been lost to him that the next highest rank after quinnat was himself, and with quinnat's disappearance, another gap had been made. whatever had caused it would not take him, though. whatever had caused it would pay for taking them away from him. he would avenge mercedes, and he would avenge quinnat. starting first, with keeping verdantis together, keeping it strong. with a fire burning within his belly, the wolf would rise, twin tails and head equally high, and a long, defiant howl would call out through parted maw. a challenge to the forces that be, whether organic or incorporeal, that he would stand tall. but also a call of his ascent. nothing will silence the will of ohr. |
Others may challenge him for the rank if they so choose.
Gabriel has pre-emptively attempted to put up a Shield around himself.
Is there a time limit? Who knows! I don't even know XD
