Her old sniffer hadn't failed her yet, and Ida let out a pleased chuff at the sight of the fresh droppings. Her lips peeled back to show a grin of all blunted fangs, and her chest rumbled with low laughter as Maureen recoiled from their find. The heavy dog kicked off and slid down into the gulley, churning up soil and snow behind her as she came to a sloppy stop just past the droppings.
"Ripe indeed," Ida said, looking up and catching hoofprints leading further through the shallow ravine. They were light, likely topped off by a recent dusting of snow, but the scent of moose hung just faint enough to confirm what she already knew. They only needed to keep following the trail, and it wouldn't be a very long one. Anticipation buzzed beneath her shaggy pelt, but she resisted the urge to take off running through the trees as she turned to look back at Maureen.
"What, y'never seen shit before?" she chuckled sharply. The great dog gave a jerk of her chin, beckoning the smaller wolf to follow before stepping past the dung and podding after the hoofprints. Snow clumped to her broad paws as she walked, and as she kicked off a bit of slush, Ida's thoughts wandered back to Maureen's explanation of a city to entertain herself; their previous discovery had initially interrupted that strain of conversation, but Ida was curious. She quirked a brow, beady eyes momentarily parting from the trail to look back at her glowing companion.
"So, 'city's like uh pack? Ah've been inna few of those," been kicked out would be the more accurate description, but that was besides the point. Hot breath puffed from her nostrils, mild amusement flashing across her gaze at the untold memories as she continued. "Long as there're wolves, there're packs."

Oh no! I hope you're feeling alright. Get better soon!
