Eon would give a nod as he listened to Malachi speak. He had not heard the story where his father had been brought to life, though he had been there after Enya had awoken from death. The old memory came creeping into his mind like a long-forgotten life. That was so long ago; he hadn’t even known of Tsillah then. He now realized that was undoubtedly the goddess's doing. Still, he was unsure if the Monarch would appreciate him telling such a vulnerable story to a stranger, so he chose his following words carefully. “I, too, have seen a wolf who had died brought back to life.” He spoke without hinting at who that wolf might be. Though he hadn’t been there when she rose from the dead, he had come along shortly after and helped her regain her strength. He had no reason to doubt her words.Still, he assumed the lion would want more info on their goddess than that.
“The depth of Tsillah goes beyond that of physical death, however. She brings death to our weaknesses and life to our strengths. She does this by testing us, bringing us challenges we must overcome to become our best selves.” He spoke, thinking back on his own life. His old self was indeed dead, buried somewhere in history. Somewhere along the road, he had been reborn, transformed into a new, better, stronger wolf without actually having to physically die. That was the true power of Tsillah.
“I have hesitated to devote myself to gods in the past.” Eon would admit, hoping his own story might help persuade the lion. “Why would I want to be a slave to a being I could not even see nor prove the existence of?” he continued. “Tsillah is not like that; she values our free will. She offers us challenges so that we may know ourselves better. So that we may be our strongest selves.” Eon would shuffle his paws, adjusting himself to lie amongst the tree branches and keep the conversation more casual. That wasn’t to say he wouldn’t be ready to defend himself should the blue lion, for some reason, choose to start trouble.
“Duskorna values strength, perseverance, deep bonds of kinship, and freedoms,” He spoke. “We encourage our members to be their strongest and best selves so we may prevent akrasia or the weakening of the force that runs through all life.” He paused momentarily, realizing he hadn’t even gotten the lion's name. How stupid he had been, giving away his kingdom's information without even learning the stranger's name. “What do they call you, anyway?” he’d ask, better late than never.
