Father didn't take her anywhere whenever he left to meet other people, and sometimes it made her feel lonely. But he'd always come back eventually, to teach her lessons like how to hunt or use her wings, and other lessons. Today, they started out with a flight lesson, and once they got into the cavern, he began to tell her about gemstones and such. She honestly couldn't tell the difference between most of the stuff, and while he spoke about tensile strength and density and all that,
she already knew she wasn't going to remember much of it. All she knew was to pick up anything shiny and they'd sort it out later.
In the glim light, her bioluminescent lavender spots stood out, their soft glow helping to light the darker parts. Sitting out in the open on the floor was a shiny, white hard thing. She rolled it into father's view, "What's this thing?" She tried to balance it on her paw, but it's difficult to do.
