Oh good, she hadn’t shocked Mr. Gabriel – a point for Dos! She was stoked about that, the latent electricity built up in her fur immediately drawn towards the glimmering orb hanging around her neck. She gave herself a cheerful little shake when it had all cleared up – this was already so much fun! And a little scary but not too scary because the silly beetle had hardly managed to do anything to them yet. She tilts her head, curious and confused about why the beetle. The creature swung its massive head towards them again and started another charge - it must have the tunnel vision her mama was always saying she had because it went right for the wolf again, allowing Dos to leap neatly to the side more or less unmolested with a giggle. ”You’re fast!” Dos complimented, watching Mr. Gabriel dodge the angry charge himself, then lunge for the creature’s leg. Ouch – that shake looked like it really hurt. But darnit, if Mr. Gabriel was holding the beetle, she probably shouldn’t try to go for another shock. As a fox though, her jaws were slender and narrow, not thick and heavy meant for crunching. If she tried that move on the beetle as she was, she’d probably just hurt her own teeth. Luckily, she didn’t have to try as herself. Hyenas, she remembered, have really strong jaws, so that was what she went for. Powerful, barrel builds with stocky legs, rounded ears and most importantly, those strong blunt teeth she knew could crack bones, The electricity increased in intensity for a moment, crackling and filling the air with ozone once again although this time… she also smelled smoke? Hmm? Oh well, she’d figure it out later. The excess energy drew into her stormbead as the newly shifted black hyena released a pleased cackle, then lunged for the beetle’s other hindleg from where she was. --- Text. Speech. Thoughts. |
