EEon would nod, allured by the orange crystal Helix had found. He’d shuffle the gem into his bag and begin digging up another one himself; this one was green in color. Eon was about to answer Helix’s question as she rolled her next find towards him when the screeching was heard. He froze, immediately looking deeper into the darkness where the sound came from. It sounded eerie, but he recognized it… it sounded like bats!
Just as he collected his thoughts, a swarm of the creatures came hurling towards him, taking him completely off-guard. His heart raced in his chest as fear began to claim him. He wanted to scream and run for the exit, but another part wanted to stand his ground. Perhaps this was a sign of sorts… a message from Tsillah?
Focusing on his breathing, he’d attempt to calm himself down and examine the bat's behavior. They weren’t after him or Helix, but it seemed they were trying to escape something else. Swallowing his fear, Eon would take a few steps forward. There was nothing but darkness further inside. Whatever this thing was, it used the darkness to its advantage to stalk them. Luckily, the bats had alerted them to its presence.
Brushing his tails together to create friction, Eon conjured up yellow wisps that swirled around him. He’d attempt to direct the wisps to where he thought the creature might be, but it was hard to tell.

If success: Eon successfully spots a giant centipede hiding in the shadows, catching it off-guard, giving him the advantage. (+1 to next roll)
If fail: The lights only draw attention to him, allowing the centipede to catch him off-guard. (-1 to next roll)
