Wolf hybrids are increasingly becoming an endemic problem for the state of New Hampshire, due to unconcerned breeders and people that bite off more than they can chew. When Finbar, a high-content wolf-dog, grows too big for his owner to handle, he is abandoned in the most cruel way imaginable; drowned in an icy river in the White Mountains, Finbar was ready to accept his fate and succumb to the cold. However, to his shock, he does not die but lives, due to the help of a kind young she-wolf.
Going forward, Finbar must learn how to survive in the wild, running with no place to call home. With the help of the friends he meets along the way Finbar forms a pack of misfits. Together, they search for a place in the world to call their own.
